The Challenge - To create hype and awareness around adidas' brand X, generating demand and promoting sales by leveraging the momentum of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

We produced a mobile web application that, integrated with a physical arena, invited each user to be the next hero of world football and to challenge their friends.

The Challenge - To bring recognition and celebration to the daily lives of Worten employees, reinventing internal processes and the sales force management system of around 3000 employees in all more than 200 stores in the chain.

We developed a feedback and organizational recognition platform that reinvented the experience of the Worten employee and gave rise to the gamification project of greater scale, scope and life span in Portugal.

The Challenge - To activate the Worten brand with the Portuguese gamer community, promoting brand recognition as "the place of gaming and esports in Portugal".

We created the largest national online esports community, where each member could be recognized and rewarded by their peers and fans for doing what they enjoy most: playing

The Challenge - To animate and guide Cetelem's B2C team to accelerate the integration of new consultants, bring the activity and processes of the teams closer together and improve the performance of each employee.

We have implemented a gamified web solution for each consultant to be able to monitor their progress and that of their peers, celebrating victories and moving towards becoming top performers, for themselves and for their teams.

The Challenge - To create maximum commitment between Delta's senior regional sales teams and their goals, encouraging growth and overcoming.

To this end, we took a twist to an epic narrative known to all - the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

The Challenge - To enrich the learning experience of the Museu do Dinheiro with an educational and interactive video game focused on financial literacy for children and young people.

With multiple platforms and a simple, accessible and appealing language, we wanted to bring more agility to streamline sessions with the younger visitors of the Museum of Money.

The Challenge - To design a fully customizable platform, easily accessible via smartphone, which allows to dynamize the experience of participation in face-to-face and virtual events, for participants and promoters.

We created a mobile web application to involve participants in the dynamics of the event, from sessions to stands, through game mechanics such as quizzes, missions, sharing on social networks, interaction between participants, rankings, etc.

The Challenge - To improve the commercial indicators of the operation of the approximately 140 employees of the Written and On-site Channels (call center and stores) of Via Verde customer service.

To this end, we created a platform for recognition and organizational involvement that allows each employee to have real-time feedback on their performance and be challenged to go further and be recognized by the organization and its peers. Powered by: Outliers

The Challenge - To align the culture of the 65 different companies belonging to the group, in a single mission, vision and purpose, increase their commercial proactivity and support Unilabs' digital transformation.

We created a mobile web platform for feedback and recognition to unlock the commercial potential of each employee and communicate and validate the main messages of the organization. Powered by: Outliers

The Challenge - To promote better performance in the distribution and activation of Jumbo Cards, promoting behavioral change and greater commercial proactivity for Auchan employees.

With that in mind, we have developed a mobile web platform that allows each employee to monitor their performance in real time and be recognized for their victories, creating a more engaging experience for the entire team. Powered by: Outliers

The Challenge - To achieve business objectives, improve cross-selling skills and encourage mutual assistance in customer service teams.

We have implemented an epic narrative of mountain climbing, based on the principle that nobody achieves these achievements alone, motivating each employee to achieve not only personal goals but also team goals, together. Powered by: Outliers

The Challenge - To create a dynamic that in a short time manages to promote involvement and proactivity among employees to achieve a specific operational or training objective.

SuperCup is a gamified platform from Fractal Mind that uses the narrative of a football championship and that, by dividing users into football teams, promotes healthy competition around a business indicator. It can be used as an extra animation mechanic in an existing gamification project, or as a one-shot event, applied to any business context.

Marketing Inov 2021 - Gamification Marketing Conference
Gamification in Marketing is the motto for the 2nd edition of Marketing Inov, an online and free conference, organized by the students of the Master of Marketing and Communication at the Polytechnic of Coimbra and with the support of Fractal Mind. Marketing Inov 2021 will take place on June 5 (Saturday), at 3 pm, through the Zoom platform and with live transmission on Youtube.

The event will count with the participation of national and international speakers, specialized in the application of Gamification techniques in the world of Marketing. The topics covered by the conference range from gamification in companies and consumption, to the application of gamification in promoting sustainability and education. Among the speakers already confirmed is our CXO and Lead Gamification Designer, Manuel Pimenta.

Marketing Inov Gamification is aimed at all professionals and students who are interested in learning how game mechanisms can be applied by organizations in their Marketing strategies and in increasing engagement with their audiences. The topics covered will be diversified, from gamification in companies and consumption, to the application of gamification in the promotion of sustainability and education.

The project started in 2020, and is yet another proof of the bet of the student community of the Polytechnic of Coimbra in the area of innovation. "Blockchain: The Impacts on Marketing" was the theme of the 1st edition, which featured presentations by experts and some students from the Master of Marketing and Communication. This year, with the 2nd edition, the Marketing Inov brand was born, with a new visual identity, but with the same mission: to transmit knowledge on innovative themes in the field of Marketing to the Lusophone community, in particular, to students, enthusiasts and professionals.

Portugal Exportador 2020 - 100% online
On November 18, 2020, we participated in Portugal Exportador 2020, where workshops, thematic coffees, talks and visits to exhibitors were held, in a 100% digital event.

According to Pedro Braga, deputy general director of Lisboa Feiras Congresses and Events, as Portuguese companies joined the new format and accounted for an expressive 1,425 participants in the sessions and the scheduling of around 500 meetings (in Jornal Económico).

Youtube channels are still available on the website Portugal Exportador, with this event initiatives, allowing anyone to watch it online.

EIT Digital Open Innovation Event
On October 29, we participated in the EIT Digital Open Innovation Event, from BGI - Building Global Innovators.

This event belongs to the EIT Digital Open Innovation program that aims to foster collaboration between companies and startups, developing pilot projects or partnerships, within the scope of Digital Transformation.

Fractal Mind is one of the startups chosen by the partner companies of this event to provide answers to the challenges launched.

Fractal Mind in the next phase of EDI
18 startups and Big Data SMEs were selected to participate in the EXPERIMENT phase of the European Data Incubator (EDI). And FRACTAL MIND was one of the winning startups selected for this second phase, in partnership with Mind Over Data!

This second stage of incubation focuses on supporting the chosen cohort in creating an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and launching it into the market. With a duration of four months, until February 2021, the Experiment phase is an intensive mentoring and training journey for the startups, with support from coaches and the EDI partners. We are prepared and looking forward to the challenge!

World Shopper Conference 2020
The second block of the World Shopper Conference 2020 worked on the theme “Leadership, Skills & Talent”.

Our CXO and Lead Gamification Designer Manuel Pimenta attended this event, on October 13, at 5:30 pm, to explore the issue: Gamification: Learning from games to change the business world.
‘Hackathon’ SCE:NE in Porto!
The‘ hackathon ’SCE: NE - Science Communication Eclosion: Narrative Edition, from Creative Colab was a success and had the motto: “Creatively communicate complex issues about biodiversity and sustainability in a multidisciplinary environment.”

There were 5 intense days of sharing ideas and creating projects at the Biodiversity Gallery - Centro Ciência Viva, in Porto!

This unique event brought together professionals, students, and enthusiasts from different fields, such as programmers, designers, and artists, in a collaborative marathon of co-creation of innovative projects related to the theme of biodiversity and sustainability.

SCE: NE had a wide range of prestigious speakers and mentors and the support of institutions such as INESC TEC, Lim9, Fractal Mind, Openfield Creativelab, Symington Family Estates, Porto Protocol Foundation, ASPEA, and B Lab Portugal.

Fractal Mind participated in the Digital City Festival, in Manchester, at the invitation of the United Kingdom Embassy. It is an honor to have been invited to the 1st edition of this event that brought together the best in digital!

Talks, exhibitors and pitching sessions filled this week with the best of the digital world and with its latest news.

It was a pleasure to participate in this event and, above all, to be able to carry out these pitching sessions on Fractal Mind and #gamification, at the invitation of entities such as MIDAS Manchester's Inward Investment Agency.

Digital Export Open Day, Leiria
On March 4th and 5th, Fractal Mind had its own exhibitor at the biggest technological event in Leiria, the Digital Export Open Day! The event took place at the Mercado de Sant’Ana - Centro Cultural Leiria.

The 5th Portugal-Africa | Senegal Business Forum took place at AEP - Associação Empresarial de Portugal, in an initiative in partnership with CCIPS - Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal-Senegal and West Africa.

This year, the main topics under analysis were “Industrial Ecosystem (Agroindustry) and Financial Incentives”, “Social Infrastructures and Sustainable Housing vs. Financing Instruments ”and the“ Senegal ICT Cluster | Training and Innovation ‘Made in Portugal’”.

Fractal Mind is a member of the 1st Portuguese ICT Cluster in Senegal - C-TECH and our CEO Tiago Perdigão was present at this event in Leça da Palmeira.
